Help Restore the Train!

A beloved part of Riverside park, the train has been a treasured part of family outings for generations. You can be a part of restoring the Santa Fe 1050 with your donation.

Santa Fe No. 1050

A 2-6-2 “Prairie” type steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1902 for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad.

For over 50 years, she was used primarily in passenger service on the AT&SF, retired from service in 1955.

Thankfully, she was soon donated to the City of Independence, KS.
